KAJANG COMMUNITY CENTRE

Kajang is a dilapidated town in Malaysia that used to be a place where there were more people that occupied smaller spaces or mass. Now, it is a town where a few people occupies more space than ever. Like cotton caught on velcro, the people who live there find ways to stick around and make their business thrive by creating positive space for people to dwell. The community centre is a place where the people can come together in the proper set and settings to pick up new and traditional tricks with the intention of cultivating a more wholesome lifestyle with a larger community . It is a place that bridges the connections is a segregated environment whether it is between the hardscape and softscape of Kajang, the present or the past, the younger and the older, or the building and its context.
