Zhu Shi typeface

Zhu Shi typeface
I created this typeface called Zhu Shi, based on 26 Chinese staple foods, to create 26 letters, 4 dingbats, and 4 separators. The typeface consists of the 26 Chinese staple foods together with Chinese dishes that they form. The first letter of the typeface, A, begins with the most basic Chinese staple, rice, then moves on to other dishes such as vegetables, and finally ends off with condiments/toppings for the letter Z, which is Chilli.
The techniques I applied in this typeface creation consists of vectors, gradiation and drop shadows. The colours used are mainly bright, vibrant, pastel colours. The target audience of this typeface would be people who are new to Chinese food and would like to know the Chinese staples.
