The client was seeking funding for his startup vegan restaurant and needed a menu to showcase both his identity and culinary skills. 

 

The client wanted an approach that was playful and inviting, but also showed a sense of intention and professionalism. Many of the ingredients are "whole foods" based and locally sourced, so we concentrated on promoting that aesthetic through the "garden" objects. The color pallete was kept simplistic, but bright, avoiding earthy tones as is common amongst vegetarian restaurants.

 

The three carrots cartoon was drawn by another illustrator and we worked in the hand drawn typography to complement the approach. 

 

The bold and uniform typeface was used to keep the overall aesthetic uncluttered and lend to a modern approach and sense of professionalism.
