Panoz DP01 ChampCar (2007) and Dallara IR-05 IndyCar Series car (2008) drawn as part of a project drawing all of Justin Wilson's winning cars for a limited edition print benefitting the Wilson Childrens Fund.

During my time at INDYCAR, I drew every single Verizon IndyCar Series car as a full vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator for every race all season long for use in the event spotter guides. See the "INDYCAR Spotter Guides" project for more details, these are just a small sampling.

Carlos Munoz, #26 car, superspeedway configuration.
Scott DIxon, #9 car, road/street course configuration.
Graham Rahal, #15 car, road/street course configuration.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Parnelli Jones' 1963 Indianapolis 500 victory, I created a side-view illustration of his winning car, nicknamed "Ol' Calhoun," to create a limited edition of prints. The edition was limited to 98 prints (in honor of car number 98), 25 of which were signed by Parnelli himself at the famous Yard of Bricks on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway front straightaway.

While working on the Parnelli drawing, I was approached about doing a similar piece with the 1964 winning car, driven by A.J. Foyt, and I did a run of 64 of those.

Both pieces are all vector, with the only exception being the texture for the gold leaf numbering and lettering on the car (created using a scanned/photorealistic texture).

Mr. Jones poses with yours truly. Super nice guy...and he still does 80 pushups a day, so don't mess with him.
