SEA OF FOG
High fog is particularly frequent in basins and in some mountain valleys in autumn. Above the fog, however, there is sunshine or a starry sky at night. To the observer, an evenly fog-filled valley or basin then appears like an ocean.

Last fall, during the Covid-19 pandemic, I took advantage of home office days to drive to nearby locations above the fog line in the morning or evening and captured the moods of this fascinating natural phenomenon.
