A Collection I made with 80% fabric and clothes from Thrift (Kaunjika) as a way of promoting sustainable design.

Njikau is a play on the words Kaunjika, which is a Malawian Chichewa word for Thrift or second hand clothes.

The Collection is just a way of showcasing how old clothes can be restyled and become cool again, I repurposed old clothes plus some locally found fabrics to create these pieces.

These pieces come with multi-functional pockets of which some are removable and double as a purse. Just to make it as sustainable as it can be
