Thomas Road Outpost

Thomas Road Outpost.

This project was designed for a local camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains. They needed some brand touch-ups and marketing material, so I started with a moodboard to get a general direction. Since this camp is up in the mountains, I thought it was fitting to match green with their already established orange color. The images below were taken from Dribbble.com.
The Map.
One of the biggest challenges: making a map for a place I've never been. I was given a very rough sketch, which I then refined, and began to make the map on Adobe Illustrator. After the initial draft, we realized some things were not at all in the right areas (oops) and we kept working on it together. In fact, I remember one day where I sat next to the woman in charge of this project and she would give me edits on the spot to get the map layout right. In the end, this map is one of my favorite things I made for the project. The camp can use it in a variety of ways due to its flexibility, which is great! Some of the elements were reused in other areas as well, for example the icons.

T-Shirt Designs.
Below are different t-shirt designs I created for the camp. I don't think they ended up printing all of them, but these were some of my favorite drafts.
Sticker design.
Next, one of the areas I was given a lot of freedom was sticker design. They wanted to have a sticker pack to give out at events. The only preference they had was that they wanted a variety of shapes. I developed a fun and cohesive series of stickers that have classic camp sayings on them. They did tell me "no bears," because those are often overdone in the camp world. However, I made one just for kicks and giggles and they actually decided to print it!
