INKTOBER 2020 - TEKNIKA

For my class of Traditional Drawings and Illustrations, I had to participate to the Inktober ! It is a challenge I've wanted to do since... 2014 I think ? Sadly I never got the time to do it properly and always gave up after a week. Now, I can finally say that I did it !

Pour mon cours de Dessins et Illustrations traditionnelles, j'ai dû participer à l'Inktober ! C'est un défi que je voulais relever depuis ... 2014 je crois? Malheureusement je n'ai jamais eu le temps de le faire correctement et j'ai toujours abandonné après une semaine. Maintenant, je peux enfin dire que je l'ai fait!

Day 01 - Fish

Inspirations :

(English) - This mermaid created by an artist on Twitter that I really admire for the Mermay, a challenge that's similar to the Inktober (as you have to draw a different kind of mermaid every day of the month of may).

(Français) - Cette sirène créée par une artiste sur Twitter que j'admire beaucoup pour le Mermay, qui est un défi similaire à l'Inktober (car l'on doit dessiner un différent type de sirène chaque jour du mois de mai).

Day 02 - Wisp

Inspirations :

(English) - This word made me automatically think of the wisps in the Disney movie "Brave" !

(Français) - Ce mot m'a directement fait penser aux feux follets dans le film Disney "Rebelle" !

Day 03 - Bulky

Inspirations :

(English) - This time I got inspired by this art from an artist I follow on Instagram. The way all of the cats take all the space on the picture... The way my own cat takes quite a lot of space too in my every day life... Cats were just perfect for the theme of the day.

(Français) - Cette fois-ci je fus inspirée par cette oeuvre d'une artiste que je suis sur Instagram. La façon dont tous les chats prennent tout l'espace sur la photo... La façon que mon chat a de prendre aussi pas mal d'espace dans ma vie de tous les jours... Les chats étaient donc parfait pour le thème du jour.

Day 04 - Radio

Inspirations :

(English) - Since I don't really enjoy drawing "mechanical" things, instead of drawing a radio I decided to go with an item that I really like in the game Animal Crossing : the lily record player.

(Français) - Comme je n'aime pas vraiment dessiner d'objets "mécaniques", au lieu de dessiner une radio, j'ai décidé de dessiner un objet que j'aime beaucoup dans le jeu Animal Crossing : le tourne-disque lys.

Day 05 - Blade

Inspirations :

(English) - This word makes me automatically think of a sword, and the first famous sword that comes to my mind is the Master Sword from the games The Legend of Zelda.

(Français) - Ce mot me fait automatiquement penser à une épée, et la première épée connue qui me vient à l'esprit est la Master Sword dans les jeux The Legend of Zelda.

Day 06 - Rodent

Inspirations :

(English) - One day while scrolling on Twitter, I found a thread full of pictures of mice that sleep inside of various flowers and I just had to redraw one of the pictures !

(Français) - Un jour en scrollant sur Twitter, j'ai trouvé un thread rempli de photos de souris qui dorment dans différentes fleurs et je me devais juste de redessiner une des photos !

Day 07 - Fancy

Inspirations :

(English) - For me, when idols are performing in concerts in their beautiful outfits, this is the definition of fancy : it's chic and magical at the same time.

(Français) - Pour moi, quand les idols sont en pleine performance pendant leurs concerts, dans leurs magnifiques tenues, c'est la définition même de "fancy" : c'est chic et magique en même temps.

Day 08 - Teeth

Inspirations :

(English) - Vampire's teeth are a very noticeable kinf of teeth ! I didn't think too deep about this one but I wanted to train more on my "painting" skills, so I recreated a picture again.

(Français) - Les dents de vampires sont un type de dents très reconnaissables ! Je n'ai pas réfléchis bien loin pour celui-là, mais j'avais envie de m'entrainer à "peindre" donc j'ai recréé une photo encore une fois.

Inspirations :

(English) - Graduation's ceremony. Throwing hats. As simple as that.

(Français) - Cérémonie des diplômes. Lancer de chapeaux. Aussi simple que ça.

Day 10 - Hope

Inspirations :

(English) - As you all know, we are in the middle of a pandemic... So I hope the day we'll be able to breathe fresh air without having the virus in the area will be there soon.

(Français) - Comme vous le savez tous, nous sommes en plein milieu d'une pandémie... Donc j'espère que le jour où nous pourrons respirer de l'air frais sans avoir le virus dans les parages sera bientôt là.

Day 11 - Disgusting

Inspirations :

(English) - I find disgusting the fact that some people think they are better than others who are not like them and that they feel the need to step on their human rights just because they want to feel superior.

(Français) - Je trouve dégoûtant le fait que certaines personnes pensent qu'elles sont meilleures que d'autres qui ne sont pas comme elles et qu'elles ressentent le besoin d'aller piétiner leurs droits humains juste parce qu'elles veulent se sentir supérieures.

Day 12 - Slippery

Inspirations :

(English) - My mom showed me this picture and asked me if I could draw it one day, so I took the opportunity of this theme !

(Français) - Ma mère m'a montré cette photo et m'a demandé si je pouvais la redessiner un jour, j'ai donc pris l'opportunité de ce thème !

Day 13 - Dune

Inspirations :

(English) - I started really liking to redraw pictures by "painting", and since I don't really have an image of dune presaved in my head, I decided to go with this picture.

(Français) - J'ai commencé à vraiment bien aimer redessiner des photos en faisant du "painting", et étant donné que je n'ai pas d'image pré-sauvegardé d'une dune dans ma tête, j'ai décidé de choisir cette photo.

Inspirations :

(English) - I love cacti, I think their armor of spikes makes them cute.

(Français) - J'adore les cactus, je trouve que leur armure de piques les rend mignons.

Inspirations :

(English) - I find the gaze of a cat staring at us super intense, their gaze pierces us then from one moment to another they can jump on us.

(Français) - Je trouve que le regard d'un chat qui nous fixe est super intense, leur regard nous transperce puis d'un moment à l'autre ils peuvent nous sauter dessus.

Inspirations :

(English) - My favorite type of ice cream since I was a child : Raket Rocket.

(Français) - Mon type de glace préféré depuis que je suis enfant : les Raket Rocket.

Inspirations :

(English) - I tried to represent what it's like to live with constant anxiety and overthinking.

(Français) - J'ai essayé de représenter ce que ça fait de vivre avec de l'anxiété ainsi que de "penser trop" constamment.

(English) - This time, the daily theme is a representation of how I feel about adulthood.

(Français) - Cette fois, le thème du jour est une représentation de comment je me sens face à la vie adulte.

(English) - I got inspired by this post on Instagram and decided to make it with a completely different style.

(Français) - Je fus inspirée par ce post sur Instagram et j'ai décidé de le faire dans un style complètement différent.

Inspirations :

(English) - Redesign of the pokemon Corsola with my own little personal touch.

(Français) - Redesign du pokemon Corayon avec ma petite touche personnelle.

Inspirations :

(English) - I found this illustration of the moon sleeping very pretty, so like the precedent drawing I decided to redesign it with my own touch.

(Français) - J'ai trouvé cette illustration de la lune dormant vraiment jolie, donc comme pour le précédent dessin j'ai décidé de la redesign avec ma touche personnelle.

(English) - The iconic cooking chef's hat.

(Français) - L'emblématique chapeau de chef cuisinier.

(English) - I wanted to make a very simple drawing for something as simple as death.

(English) - To be completely honest... Didn't have much inspiration on this one...

(Français) - Pour être complètement honnête... Je n'ai pas eu beaucoup d'inspiration pour celui-ci...

Inspirations :

(English) - Before having a pet in real life, I've had virtual friends and I loved them quite a lot.

(Français) - Avant d'avoir un animal de compagnie dans la vrai vie, j'ai eu des amis virtuels et je les aimais tout aussi fort.

Day 26 - Hide

Inspirations :

(English) - This Halloween, a trend that made me smile a bit when I went on the internet was the Ghost Challenge on Tiktok, the music and the ambiance of the challenge by itself was very nice.

(Français) - Cet Halloween, un "trend" qui m'a fait sourire un peu quand j'allais sur internet était le Ghost Challenge sur Tiktok, la musique et l'ambiance générale du challenge étaient sympa.
