Ginger Beer Label Design

Concept:
The aim was to create a Spicy Ginger Beer front and back label for Brunswick Uncanny Brewery (BUB).
For my design I went with a folk inspired character, who is smoking a pipe, playing a guitar and wearing a fedora hat with a leaf sticking out the side. I feel this sort of imagery would appeal to inner-city, designers, musicians and creative types who live in and around Brunswick.
The name of the beer, 'Ropewalk', comes from a street name in Brunswick, which I think helps to give the product a local feel and ties in nicely within the community.

Colour Scheme:
Colour scheme - Pantone 372 C (Green) Pantone 472 C (Tan)
I went with a green and tan colour scheme, when overlayed these colours create a brown.
I feel the predominant use of green used for the clothing of the character/label works to convey that this product could be nature conscious, nomadic and peaceful in nature, which reflects a lot of how the Brunswick target audience can feel.
The tan and brown were chosen to represent the ginger, cinnamon, guitar and pipe.
