The studio brought us to a charming island on the lake of Maggiore, with a small botanic garden and a sad story about the former owner.
Taking inspiration from the Russian dolls and the glade concept, we create the effect of mental healing by taking people from a large open lake into smaller and smaller spaces, until they see themselve alone inside the chapel.
The light chapel is as well a memorial to Antoniette de Saint Léger - The Russian women who built the former botanical garden on Brissago Islands. The sunlight of June equinox (Antoniette birthday) will shine a stone inside the chapel with her portrait.
