Confucius Institutes are established around the world on the initiative of the Office for the Spread of the Chinese Language Abroad under the Government of the PRC. These educational institutions are designed to deepen mutual understanding and to acquaint with the history, culture, philosophy, customs and traditions of China.





Herein above some concepts and ideas which were declined and transformed during the process of negotiation.

The final concept includes a metaphor that translates China and its culture through the prism of a character. A character is both information and a plastic form in and of itself. It is a direct attribute for interaction with the culture of the East, therefore it plays a key role in creating the image of the Institute. The Russian text, placed directly on the hieroglyph, reflects a certain national vision of another language and culture.
