THE ARCHITECTURAL LANDSCAPE BETWEEN REALITY AND UTOPIA
This university project of 2019, consists in the creation of an exhibition, within the Extra MAXXI Space, for the permanent collection of MAXXI Museum in Rome.
The exhibition contains over 100 works by 50 different authors and presents to the public a series of photographs, drawings, sculptures and scale models where the architectural landscape is the common thread that gives back different visions and a sense of identity of the place.
The exhibition seeks to return a fluid and at the same time fragmented dialogue of works that reflect on the relationship between space and society, the ability to measure reality or to completely distort its parameters.
The works are exposed together in an order that appears to be random; however, the exhibition highlights two key concepts around which the works on display alternate between contrasts and continuity: utopia and reality.
Inspired by the Spanish Pavilion of the 2016 Venice Biennale, the Croatian Pavilion of the 2019 Venice Biennale and the Labics exhibition project at Maxxi entitled “Fables of light. Nino Migliori and the children of the nursery school ”, our set-up consists of 4 unique panels, 3mx14m, in aluminum with colored plasterboard infill, hooked to the trusses of the structure.
The support tables for the scale models, on the other hand, were designed in iron so as to take up the trusses.

Questo progetto universitario del 2019, consiste nella realizzazione di un allestimento, all’interno dello Spazio Extra MAXXI, per la collezione permanente del Museo MAXXI di Roma.
La mostra, contenente oltre 100 opere di 50 diversi autori, presenta al pubblico una serie di fotografie, disegni, sculture e modelli in scala dove il paesaggio architettonico è il fil rouge che restituisce diverse visioni e senso di identità del luogo.
L'allestimento cerca di restituire un dialogo fluido e allo stesso tempo frammentato di lavori che riflettono sul rapporto tra spazio e società, la capacità di misurare il reale o di stravolgerne completamente i parametri.
Le opere sono accostate tra loro in un ordine solo apparentemente casuale; la mostra evidenzia due concetti chiave attorno al quale si alternano, tra contrasti e continuità, i lavori esposti: utopia e realtà.
Su ispirazione del Padiglione Spagna-Biennale Architettura Venezia 2016, del Padiglione Croazia- Biennale Arte Venezia 2019 e del progetto di allestimento di Labics al Maxxi intitolato “favole di luce. Nino Migliori e i bambini del nido scuola”, il nostro allestimento consiste in 4 pannelli unici, 3mx14m, in alluminio con tamponature in cartongesso colorato, agganciati alle capriate della struttura.
I tavoli di supporto per i modelli, sono invece stati pensati in ferro così da riprendere le capriate.
