A collaborative exhibit for the Emerging Designers section of the Ellerslie International Flower Show
2013. Designed and constructed with 3 other architectural students from CPIT. Our design was awarded a gold medal for overall design.
The general outline of the brief was to design a roof top garden ideal for hosting and entertaining guests.
The theme in our design was to frame views. The planter boxes on the left are held up by pegs, which are able to be placed at various levels, hence creating different views. The sleeper at the back enables a 'lounge' type feel, and itself frames another view. The benches are also adjustable in height enabling different uses. The pergola again frames more views, and it allows some shading and protection from weather, while allowing plant life to grow around it.
