Hubane
A stool for an official out of concrete and wood.
Hubane is a simple stool for any official and was designed to be 100% comfortable

No civil servant should have to do the hard work of adjusting the seat to their own need for
comfort. The aim of the design was therefore that the seating surface no longer has to be sat on by the user, but that its adapted shape supports the user to concentrate fully on his work.

As not every buttock is the same, it is possible to choose between different standard sizes or to have an individual production made.

The shape of the seat was created by removing the buttocks. The impression was measured and adapted in CAD according to ergonomic data to mill a negative form for the casting model. The seat is therefore casted from one mould.

The legs are made of sawn wooden plates which are placed at a 5 degree angle from the seat shell. The angle is primarily intended to provide stability but also to give a feeling of calm.
The Hubane project was developed as part of a course in the third semester at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt. The starting point for the design task was to create a stool. For this topic 3 further specifications were assigned.
In my case civil servant, wood and concrete.
