Confucius Institute

The Confucius Institute is an international organization of non-profit public institutions aligned with the government of the People's Republic Of China that aim to promote the Chinese language and culture.

Confucius (551–479 BC) was a Chinese teacher, editor, politician, and philosopher of the Spring and Autumn Period of Chinese history. He was the first person in the ancient realm who insisted that everyone should have the right to education whatever their social status.

China has announced funding for the establishment of over 300 Confucius Institutes worldwide as part of China’s growing global interaction and engagement. There are 11 Confucius Institutes in operation across Australia.
My new logo is inspired from a traditional Chinese calligraphy stone stamp because calligraphy is a traditional way of writing for study. Throughout the new logo, it has three parts, which is red box symbol, a red vertical line in the middle and black word-mark.

The red words in the box are inspired by Chinese calligraphy characters on the stamp. While the word “Confucius” has been separated by the best way to read it, and by following the structures of Chinese words, it has been transported to a universal symbol. Moreover, the red rounded box is much modern than the traditional right angle box.  This is quite acceptable to a western audience. In addition, the red colour is chosen because it is the symbolic stamp colour of china
