Objective: Create a Brand Expression that captured the MWCD brand story: Touching lives everyday; where we live, work and play. The essence of the full brand story is that MWCD's work affects every part of the region. The work they do creates lakes, reduces the risk of destructive flooding, manages wholesome recreation and provides safe water. It all adds up to touching lives every day; in almost every aspect of daily life.
 
Solution: This design system compines the M (Muskingum, the region) and W (Water, the sole reason for their existence) in a subtle wave. This design system is all about simplicity and ownability. By using the M and W as a containing device, I've created a system that will be recognizable anywhere. This is particularly important because the Brand has gone unnoticed for years. People benefited from their work but had no idea that MWCD is there acting as responsible stewards who are deticated, passionated and thoughtful about improving the quality of life through conservation and growth. This system brings who they are and their reason for being to the forefront of every piece of communication…making them more noticable, modern and approachable.
