For this assignment I was to emulate a photographer's work. I was given Loretta Lux. To match her style I decreased the saturation to give it a more pale look. I changed the color of my hair, makeup, and clothes to resemble the model's.

Loretta Lux was born in Dresden, Eastern Germany 1969. She then went to study at the Munich Academy of Art from 1990 to 1996. At first she was training to become a painter but later fell in love with photography in 1999. She began with self-portraits but soon moved to photographing children. She is known for her surreal and dreamlike photographs of children and adolescents (usually children of her friends and family). Her work showcases a low contrast look with pastel colors. She uses photo manipulation to distort the proportions of her subjects. Her backdrops are inspired by Old Master paintings, her favorite being a bright blue sky with light clouds. The poses she uses are inspired by french artist Balthus, being rigid and stiff. She went on to win the 2005 Infinity Award for Art from the International Center of Photography in New York City.
