OM-1: teenage engineering inspired earbuds
This project was commenced by a 3D modeling class that I took over the last spring. Tedious as it may sound, a little more fun at work is something to begin with.
Initially, I had majorly came across the brand when visiting MoMA Design Store in Omotesando back in 2019. Getting to play around with their pocket synthesizer OP-1 induced me with so many ideas that I had to sketch some of the related designs. Finally, that trip had finally paid off.
OM-1 is sophisticatedly an in-ear headphones that comes with a boxiest charger. The creamy tone I chose is a lighter substitute display color to OP-1. The knob design that goes to both earbuds and the charger are reusable part modification and intended to possibly reduce carbon footprint + support company’s resource economy.
