Set of symbols designed for use throughout the Pinterest application on mobile and desktop computer user interfaces; part of the "Brio" redesign that launched in 2015 and incorporated many rounded elements. Pinterest is known as “the home of inspiration” and enables users to discover and save ideas online. Central is the red push pin, which stands for “pinning” ideas from the internet to users’ virtual bulletin boards. The wait cursor in the application is a spinning image that resembles a button, a nod to the do-it-yourself culture that thrives on Pinterest (San Francisco, California, 2015–2018)
