160 Spear Lobby, Downtown San Francisco CA, completed 2018
photos: Joern Blohm unless otherwise noted

160 Spear Lobby. IwamotoScott were commissioned to reposition the entrance, lobby, and plaza of this 1980s high rise in downtown San Francisco for Tishman Speyer. The design radically transforms the existing through-block lobby interior into a bright and welcoming space with the introduction of a series of integrally-lit, faceted triangular ceiling planes and inset wood paneled niches. Other integral components of the project include a series of site-specific murals by artist Alison Kunath, a new faceted white metal entrance canopy at Main Street and renovation of the public plaza off Spear Street
